About Me

I am conscientious, determined and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about teaching Maths. I strive to be encouraging, helpful, patient, persistent, flexible and positive.

I have a great sense of humour and believe an ability to build a good rapport with students is essential.

The experience I have gained has also helped me to work really well with young people from all walks of life.

My caring nature means I am totally empathetic and strive to help any child no matter what their capability is with Maths.

I have built and maintained some fabulous relationships with children.

It is really important to me that I ensure all students are happy, confident learners who are also successful in examinations.
The successes I have achieved have been the most rewarding part of my working life.

I have been a fully qualified Maths Teacher since 2004.

BSc(Hons) Mathematical Methods for Information Technology.

Experienced across all abilities from year 5 to year 12 including children with SEND.

Past roles have included Head Of Year, Maths Lead and Teaching & Learning Coordinator: Maths Inclusion.

Have extensive experience gained from 5 schools; 3 senior schools, a middle school and an independent school.

The expertise to understand what to look for to assess gaps in their knowledge and techniques they might be lacking; this can be detrimental to your child gaining the best grade possible for their ability.

An understanding of common misconceptions that can lead a child in the wrong direction when answering many Mathematical questions.

Several explanations up their sleeves to be able to aid the understanding of any child. We are all different and one explanation does not fit all.

I have spent many years acquiring these qualities and have a proven track record of success.
